Trend Watch monitors Google Trends' public trending feeds for the United States, scores every trend in real time, and publishes a page for each one with its momentum, breakout queries and related searches.
Data sources
- Google Trends trending-now RSS feed, polled every 30 minutes.
- Google Trends explore endpoints for 7-day interest slopes and related queries.
- GoogleTrendArchive (Hugging Face) historical episodes used to calibrate scoring weights.
Scoring
Scores combine freshness (35%), persistence (20%), momentum (30%) and breakout (15%). Weights are re-derived from historical decay data rather than picked by hand.
